Every Monday Mundidiomas will inform students about the activities and trips that have been planned for the week. Most of these activities are free and others just require paying a small amount. They may vary depending on the time of year and the weather.

 

VISIT TO THE CITY COUNCIL
A star activity: the City Counsellor of Culture holds an 
official ceremony to welcome students.. 
                        
 
EL MURO PROMENADE 
Runs along San Lorenzo beach, which is located right 
in the centre of Gijón and is very close to Mundidiomas
 
 
SAN LORENZO BEACH
Is located right in the centre of  Gijón.  It is one of the
most emblematic beaches in Asturias and the most 
popular one in Gijón.
 
 
CIMADEVILLA 
Is a fishing and marine area, which has been declared 
an Artistic Historic Ensemble, and is the oldest part of 
the city.
 
 
SANTA CATALINA HILL
Is a privileged spot of the city from which you can get breathtaking views of the city. “Elogio del Horizonte” (Eulogy to the Horizon) by Chillida is a symbol of the city.
 
 
«JOVELLANOS’ BIRTHPLACE» MUSEUM 
Is located in a palace in the area of Cimadevilla and dates back to the end of the 15th century. On December 27th, 1983 it was declared an Artistic Historic Monument
 
THE HARBOUR
It is the main harbour of Asturias and one of the 
most important ones on the Cantabrian coast. Its 
location in the city centre offers citizens and visitors 
the chance to engage in many sports and leisure activities.
 
 
LABORAL UNIVERSITY 
Was built between 1946 and 1956 and it is the most important architectural work of the 20th century in Asturias. With its 270,000 m², it is considered to be the largest building in Spain.
 
EVARISTO VALLE MUSEUM 
Is located inside some spectacular gardens, a mixture of French and English styles around which you can walk and enjoy the surroundings. Inside you will find the works of local painter Evaristo Valle, as well as temporary exhibits about other artists and other educational and musical activities.
 
CERVIGON WALK 
This coastal route is ideal to enjoy a walk along the coast, featuring sea views, rest areas, vantage points 
and different sculptures that are also part of the 
landscape.
 
MOUNT DEVA PARK 
This vast natural space covers most of this hill and 
includes recreational areas, a Nature Visitor Centre, 
play areas, an Astronomical Observatory, etc. 
Visitors can enjoy nature or do sport in natural 
surroundings while overlooking the sea.
